Fire Captain, Orange County Fire Authority
Danny Moore is a Fire Captain with the Orange County Fire Authority, bringing over 16 years of experience in the fire service. His career has included roles as a Firefighter, Paramedic, Captain, and Hazardous Materials Specialist.
He serves on several key committees that shape technology, information, and data governance within OCFA and across Orange County. These include the Special Area Map and Pre-Plan Committee, Intterra Committee, Tablet Command Implementation Team, Cal OES Next Gen SCOUT Data Governance Committee, and the Orange County Operational Area Pre-Plan and Data Governance Committee.
Danny also serves as a Situation Unit Leader on both OCFA’s All-Hazard Incident Management Team and California Complex Incident Management Team 5 (CIMT 5). Throughout his career, he has been an instructor for the California State Fire Marshal, the California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI), and the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG).
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science Administration from Waldorf College and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Southern University. Outside of work, Danny enjoys traveling with his family, training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and most often, spends his free time taking his kids to practice.
