Benjamin Miller serves as the Agency Training Manager over Online Continued Education and Technology for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) / Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI). With over 20 years of experience in the fire service and a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration, Benjamin brings a wealth of operational expertise and instructional insight to his role. He also serves as a full-time Captain with the College Station Fire Department in College Station, Texas.
In his role at TEEX, Benjamin leads the development and delivery of online continued education courses for emergency responders, collaborating with various programs to ensure content is relevant, engaging, and mission-focused. He also manages technology projects on the fire field, integrating innovative tools and platforms to enhance training effectiveness.
Benjamin acts as a liaison with the TEEX Testing and Innovation Center (TTIC), a research and product development group within the agency. This collaboration allows him to coordinate fire field usage for multiple research studies, bridging the gap between field operations and academic research to advance the future of emergency services training.
