Ashley Watson, Driver-Engineer/Paramedic, BSN, RN, has been with the Euless Fire Department in Texas since 2007.
She is the Secretary of IAFF Local 3548, a BSN Registered Nurse currently completing her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Functional Medicine for Firefighters, and is a member of the Texas A&M TX-TF1 Water Rescue Group and the North East Fire Department Assoiation (NEFDA) USAR team.
Ashley serves on the Texas Commission on Fire Protection’s (TCFP) Health & Wellness Committee, where she helps shape statewide standards for firefighter fitness, mental and hormone health, tactical nutrition and fitness, and cancer-risk reduction. Her work bridges frontline operations with functional medicine, leveraging data, cellular therapy, and prevention science to extend and improve the health and longevity of firefighters.
She is also developing “Healthology,” a precision-wellness model focused on evidence-based nutrition, functional optimization, and lab-driven performance planning for tactical professionals. Ashley frequently presents to departments, ESDs, and leadership organizations on firefighter resilience, VO₂-max standards, occupational health, and wellness-fitness modernization.
