Greg Middleton is the Principal Architect for CentralSquare Technologies Enterprise CAD. Greg specializes in bridging the gap and translating between Field Operations, Communications, Technology, and Software Engineering with CAD and GIS. While majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas, he took an EMT class. Bitten by the bug, Greg dropped out of UT to obtain a Paramedic degree and started his public safety career as a volunteer firefighter during school. As a Paramedic at Austin-Travis County EMS, Greg saw opportunities to improve the departments radio programming and cross-trained to communications. Rising through the ranks to a Special Operations District Commander, Greg took over the departments Y2K transition and was moved full time to EMS Technology Management. Working as a core member of a City/County team, Greg implemented new 9-1-1, CAD, and Trunked Radio systems along with starting up CTECC (Combined Transportation, Emergency, and Communications Center).
Greg left public service looking for new challenges with TriTech Software Systems in 2005 which was merged to create CentralSquare Technologies in 2018. Greg's career at CentralSquare has spanned across Implementation, Product Management, and Strategy roles. With hands on involvement and implementation ranging from single to multi agency CAD systems across North America, Singapore, and Australia, Greg's passion is in his original roots of helping agencies understand their tech and how to get the most out of it.
