Jeff Alexy has dedicated more than 25 years to the fire service, serving with distinction in San Bernardino County, the largest county in the United States by land mass. Over the course of his career, Jeff has consistently focused on advancing firefighter safety, operational efficiency, and community protection through the integration of innovative technologies.
In August 2024, he founded and now leads the San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Robotics Program—one of the most advanced and nationally recognized initiatives of its kind. Under his leadership, the program has expanded rapidly to encompass a full spectrum of unmanned systems, including aerial, ground, subsurface, and aquatic robotics. These cutting-edge tools are deployed to enhance situational awareness, improve incident response times, and extend operational reach across the county’s vast and challenging terrain.
Jeff’s program is widely regarded as a leader in public safety robotics, pioneering strategies and technologies that are setting standards for fire departments and emergency responders nationwide. By combining his decades of fire service experience with a forward-thinking approach to technology, Jeff continues to drive innovation that saves lives, safeguards communities, and supports first responders in some of the most demanding environments in the country.
